Reading Price Action
Read price action without indicators. Candlestick structure, support and resistance, trend identification, and multi-timeframe analysis. The skill that makes every other strategy possible.
About This Module
Indicators are training wheels. Price action is the bike. This module teaches you to read what the market is actually doing by looking at the chart itself: candlestick structure, support and resistance, trend identification, chart patterns that matter (and the ones that don't), and how to combine multiple timeframes into a coherent picture. These skills apply to any market and any methodology you choose later.
Lesson Plan
Candlestick Patterns That Matter
Learn the 6 candlestick patterns traders actually use and what they reveal about buyer/seller pressure. Skip the 50-pattern encyclopedia approach.
Support and Resistance Zones
Learn to identify horizontal support and resistance zones on any chart and evaluate each level's strength by tests, reaction size, and recency.
Trendlines and Channels
Learn to draw valid trendlines with 3+ touches, identify ascending and descending channels, and distinguish real trendline breaks from false violations.
Trend Structure: Highs and Lows
Identify uptrends, downtrends, and ranges by reading swing highs and swing lows. Learn the structural pattern that defines every trend on every chart.
Chart Patterns: Triangles and Flags
Identify continuation patterns: triangles, flags, and pennants. Learn why location in the trend determines whether a pattern signals opportunity or noise.
Chart Patterns: Reversals
Identify head and shoulders, double top/bottom, and rounding reversal patterns on any chart. Evaluate pattern context and calculate measured move targets.
Moving Averages: The Smoothed View
Moving averages aren't signals. They're summaries of past price. Here's how SMA and EMA differ, which periods matter, and how to use them as trend context.
Breakouts and Fakeouts
Distinguish confirmed breakouts from fakeouts using volume, candle close, and retest behavior. Stop entering on every level break and getting trapped.
Pullbacks and Retests
Learn to identify high-probability pullback entries at flipped support and resistance levels. Evaluate pullback quality before committing to the trade.
Multi-Timeframe Analysis
Use multi-timeframe analysis to combine higher timeframe bias with lower timeframe entries. A top-down workflow you can repeat on every trade.
